Eger is a small picturesque Hungarian town with great moments in history. There was a writer named Géza Gárdonyi whose novel about the heroes of Eger is known to every Hungarian. In 1552 a tiny group of soldiers and citizens defended the fortress of Eger against the Ottoman army. Yoomurjak is one of the main characters of the novel - a Turkish soldier, who loses his ring, his most precious talisman. Now we meet him again - but in a totally different era and in a totally different environment. And the ring becomes even more important...
The game is not an interpretation of the novel - neither a remake of the Hungraian movie made in the 60's. But links are certainly there, not only in the story itself: György Bárdy, the actor who, at the age of 85, is once again in front of the camera impersonating the character of Yoomurjak for us.
This is a walkthru for game fans - trying not to be a literal solution but to provide small hints as sparks that help getting your brain cells working. The solutions are built assuming that you read one hint at a time and the next one only if you really need it. Sometimes it's better not to let you "unwillingly" do so and spoil the challenge. Of course there might be cases when nothing else helps but a detailed description. These parts, marked as "SPOILER", can be made visible if intentionally selected with the mouse.
Never give up - take a virtual walk in the streets instead, look for hidden signs and "Easter eggs", or just read through the documents again. Just as a professional detective would do...
Have a great time!
